I am a self taught artist and truly believe that art has always been a part of my life in small and not so small ways.  I grew up in a large family with 5 older siblings and as soon as I had my own space, I reorganized and decorated constantly.  I worked with various art forms throughout my life including sewing, beading, home decor and painting. I rediscovered my love of art when I was around 40 and my husband was diagnosed with MS. It was a very difficult time for us and I was drawn to happy colors and began to take classes online and in person.

I have been fortunate to take in person classes with many of my favorite mixed media artists including Lisa Kaus, Flora Bowley, Tracy Verdugo and many more. I realized how important creativity is in my life and how much fun it is to create art that makes your heart happy.  

I work as a nutrition therapist in my “other life” and enjoy bringing the concept of balance into client’s lives and this can include a variety of self care opportunities that many people never conceptualize. Art is a big piece of personal balance for me and I love being able to share that outlet with others through classes or shows.
